Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-05-12

At GeoGnos, we believe in privacy by design. Our platform is built to provide an educational and safe experience for everyone, especially students and children.

Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

GeoGnos is fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because our site is used by school children for educational purposes, we take the following measures to ensure a safe environment:

  • No Personal Information: We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or physical locations.
  • Child-Directed Tracking: Our analytics are strictly configured to treat all traffic as child-directed.

Data Collection & Analytics

We use a “Privacy-First” approach to data collection:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): We use basic analytics to understand how our site is used. To protect your privacy:
    • No Ad Tracking: We have explicitly disabled all advertising and remarketing signals (allow_ad_personalization_signals: false).
    • IP Anonymization: Full IP addresses are never stored; they are anonymized before any data is processed.
    • GDPR Compliance: Users in the European Union (EU) do not load the analytics script at all, ensuring full compliance with European privacy laws.
  • Local Storage: We use your browser’s local storage solely to save your preferences (such as Dark/Light mode). This data never leaves your device.
  • Cloudflare: Basic, anonymous usage statistics may be collected by our hosting provider for operational health and security monitoring.
